how we build
our primary method is to build the home offsite and trailer it to the site where it is placed on the foundation.
We also can do prefabrication if required. Generally the onsite work such as the foundation is done by a local
contractor. we can sometimes assist in locating a local contractor for you or we can subcontract it.
materials used in our standard predesigned cabin packages
foundation- concrete piers with post and beam girders ( other options are available.)
floor frame - tji and framing lumber
wall frame - 2x6 frame ( frame sizes can be increased)
siding - ply (board batten) or T-1-11 / cement or foam stucco.
roof frame - post and beam sub frame with tji or framing lumber rafters
roofing - metal or foam
other materials options are available for walls and roof such as
walls - log , sips (structural insulated foam panels) and pumice block
roof - exposed beam framing , truss frame ,foam panel and straw bale
Other material options are available as well
typical details include - vaulted ceilings , post and beam framing , choice of wood or plaster walls and ceiling
finishes and radiant floors
